Titans RB Bishop Sankey should continue to lead the backfield

ESPN - [Full Article]

Coach Ken Whisenhunt said to expect more of RB Shonn Greene when the Titans go two-back or two-tight, not when they are in three wide.

“There are going to be some games where we go multiple receivers because it’s better to run the ball out of that set plus it’s better matchups for us," he said. "And in those games, he’s going to get less carries because he’s not as big a part of that package.”

The Titans have been in three-wide for 70 percent of their plays this year. Exactly half of their 184 rush attempts have come out of that personnel. Greene’s been the ball carrier on just seven of those 92 plays.

Fantasy Impact:

Since Sankey is the primary back in three-wide sets, and the Titans are playing mostly three-wide, then we can conclude that Sankey will continue to dominate the snaps in the Tennessee backfield. He hasn't found the endzone since Week 4, but he has gained 338 total yards in his last six games and was the #32 RB from Week 3 to Week 8, prior to the team's Week 9 bye. Coincidentally, he is sitting at #32 in our rest-of-season RB rankings.
