Is there a chance running back Kevin Smith doesn't make the 53-man roster?
Barring any kind of injury setback, probably not. But it appears there still is plenty he needs to show before solidifying his role as the primary backup to rookie Jahvid Best.
"We know Kevin is a very, very smart football player, and he's going to do the right things," coach Jim Schwartz said Tuesday. "We have a lot of trust in him as far as that. It's not so much earning our trust. He needs to get his own trust with his knee."
