Texans No. 1 overall pick Jadeveon Clowney missed time in the preseason with a concussion, but he has been cleared and will play in Sunday’s season opener against the visiting Redskins.
Clowney suffered the concussion during a practice against the Broncos in Denver. He did not play in the preseason games against Denver and at home against the 49ers.
Clowney said it took him a week to get through the concussion protocol, and he reiterated he is healthy now.
