Texans Likely Lose Daniels For Season

Unless an MRI Monday indicates otherwise, the Houston Texans have lost Pro Bowl tight end Owen Daniels for the rest of the season.

Daniels injured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in the first quarter of the Texans 31-10 win over Buffalo and didn't return.

"Obviously they feel like he may have done some damage," said Gary Kubiak, Texans head coach. "I better be careful, you know what I mean, but it does not look good right now."

Daniels was on crutches when he met with the media after the game and wasn't ready to say his season is over.

"There's always a little bit of hope," Daniels said. "I'm concerned. I've hurt my knee before.

"Worst-case scenario I'll definitely be ready to go next year, worst-case scenario."
