While talking with the Bussin' With the Boys podcast, Bills QB Josh Allen remarked, "The media has blown this so far out of proportion. We are in rookie or minicamp. We're not playing a game for four months. He doesn't show up for one day. He's still there. Coach asked him to go home. They're in talks. They're trying to resolve some things. It wasn't anything major. And (the) media blew it up. They're still talking about it. Let it go. There's no reason to continue talking about it."

In the doldrums of the first week of July, news is slow, and the back-and-forth regarding Diggs continues to sway from positive to negative. The situation is still worth monitoring, regardless of what Allen is saying here. Though we're still a long way away from regular season kickoff, we have seen multiple occasions in recent years in which an unhappy wide receiver pops back into the news throughout the year. Diggs is currently sitting as the WR5 in our WR rankings.

The ramifications of the Stefon Diggs minicamp drama could still be playing out, but a player who benefited from Diggs not taking part in OTAs and parts of minicamp was Sherfield, one of the Bills' acquisitions to add depth to the receiver room.

The article continues by saying, Sherfield got increased opportunities as the Z receiver for quarterback Josh Allen with Diggs not present and made an impression in that time, with Allen saying of Sherfield during OTAs, "I've loved what I've seen from Trent so far; the dude works extremely hard. He's one of the hardest-working guys on the team. Doesn't complain about anything. He's rolling right now."

Trent Sherfield is currently ranked in the stratosphere, all the up at WR148 in 4for4's most recent rankings update, but a steady drumbeat could move him into a more reasonable drafting range.

Steelers GM Omar Khan says he's "finishing up" an extension for QB Mitch Trubisky -- a move that makes a ton of sense for both parties.

Trubisky -- a 2022 captain -- is a quality, vet backup and good locker room guy. His cap hit was also set to be $10mil in 2023.

Trubisky is in a decent situation, with a young pass-catching group and an improving offensive line. If something were to happen to Kenny Pickett, he would be an interesting option in deep SuperFlex leagues

The Bills have signed RB Latavius Murray to a one-year deal.

The signing of Murray likely impacts Damien Harris rather than any other back currently on the Bills' depth chart. Harris is also on a one-year "prove-it" deal and operates in essentially the same capacity as Murray has in recent years. In fantasy aspects, Harris and Murray will likely vulture each other's goal-line carries, while Josh Allen will eat into both of their upsides.

James Cook is more than likely the only player we truly want in this backfield as he looks to take a sophomore leap in 2023.

The Buffalo Bills and kicker Tyler Bass have agreed to terms on a four-year extension worth up to $21 Million with $12.3 guaranteed.

Bass finished his sophomore year as the overall fantasy K6 in 2022 and 2021, locking him into lineups for years to come. This is on top of kicking in Buffalo, one of the most weather-impacted cities in the NFL.

Jets continue making moves, and here’s another: they reached an agreement today to bring back RB Ty Johnson on a one-year deal.

Johnson has done most of his work as a third-down receiving threat since joining the Jets in 2020. He's a special teams contributor and shouldn't in any way impede on Breece Hall's snaps.

Broncos WR K.J. Hamler recently underwent surgery after suffering a partially torn pec while training on his own. The recovery timeline is four to six months, giving Hamler a chance to be ready right around the start of training camp in late July.

Hamler was limited to just six games in 2022 while recovering from a knee injury and dealing with hamstring issues. You hate to see another injury setback to the 23-year-old but we'll see how this influences his future with the Denver Broncos.

Former Patriots’ RB Damien Harris reached an agreement on a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills.

The running back shuffling continues in the AFC, and this one is intra-division. The Bills needed a between-the-tackles banger with only James Cook and Nyheim Hines on the roster, and they got one. Harris had slowly grown out of favor in New England as Rhamondre Stevenson took over a more three-down role. Assuming Buffalo doesn't draft a Day 2 RB, Harris has a chance to replicate his TD-heavy season from 2021.

WR Mack Hollins and the Falcons have agreed to a one-year deal. Hollins broke out in Vegas with 57 catches for 690 yards last year.

Atlanta has a long way to go to build a respectable wide receiver room, but Hollins is a good start. He lined up predominately on the outside with Las Vegas and will likely operate in two-wide sets with Drake London.

TE Dawson Knox was on the field but in a red non-contact jersey. Katherine followed up with, "Dawson Knox left Saturday's game for a bit after landing hard on a catch the first play of Bills' opening drive. He came back and played 75% of the snaps on offense. After the game, he said 'just landed on it -- a little hip pointer, nothing major.'"

Unless we get news of Knox missing Friday's practice it would seem we have nothing to worry about in fantasy land. He has gone 13-177-3 over the last three games and is a TE1 in what could be an explosive offensive game against the Bengals on Monday Night Football.
