Saints QB Drew Brees (ankle) took full practice reps again Thursday. He should be good to go for a great matchup with the Chiefs in Week 3.
Jaguars QB Blaine Gabbert (glute) took full practice reps again Thursday. Gabbert is on track to play against the Colts.
Jets QB Mark Sanchez (back) took full practice reps again Thursday. Sanchez says his back is “just a little tight.” This shouldn't be a concern for Sunday.
Cardinals QB John Skelton (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, and was limited on Thursday. At this point, Kevin Kolb is expected to start against the Eagles.
Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (knee) took full practice reps again Thursday. Charles apparently suffered a knee bruise, and did not have pain due to his 2011 ACL surgery. He has a great matchup with a bad Saints rush defense.
Rams RB Steven Jackson (groin) missed practice again Thursday. The feeling early in the week was that he was going to play, but he is starting to look iffy. Daryl Richardson is an easy plug-and-play for Jackson owners. If S-Jax can't go, we would have Richardson ranked about the same. For what it's worth, HC Jeff Fisher said that he doesn't mind Jackson playing even if he doesn't practice.
Chargers RB Ryan Mathews (shoulder) practiced fully Wednesday. With no setbacks, he is on track to play in Week 3.
Browns RB Trent Richardson (knee) took full practice reps again Thursday. No worries here. Richardson should be able to take advantage of a good matchup against the Bills.
Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall (knee) took full practice reps again Thursday. The latest is that Mendenhall is expected to return after the team's Week 4 bye.
Steelers RB Jonathan Dwyer (toe) returned to full practice reps Thursday after missing Wednesday. Dwyer has a chance for a solid game against the Raiders who got torched on the ground by Reggie Bush in Week 2.
Jaguars RB Rashad Jennings (knee) missed practice again Thursday. It doesn't look like Jennings will play this week.
Dolphins RB Daniel Thomas (concussion) took full practice reps again Thursday. Thomas should return as the primary backup to Reggie Bush.
Patriots RB Shane Vereen (foot) took limited practice reps again Thursday. At this point, Vereen is not much of a threat to Stevan Ridley, though things can change quickly especially if Ridley fumbles.
Cardinals RB Ryan Williams (knee) took limited practice reps Wednesday. The Cardinals are just managing Williams's knee.
Rams RB Brit Miller (thigh) missed practice again Thursday.
Packers WR Greg Jennings (groin) missed practice Thursday. This may be a setback for Jennings, who is “frustrated” according to HC Mike McCarthy. McCarthy went on to say that Jennings' early week work didn't go as well as they were hoping. Reading the tea leaves, Jennings may not play in Week 3.
Lions WR Calvin Johnson (ankle) returned to limited practice reps Thursday after missing Wednesday practice. Get used to seeing Johnson on the injury report early in the week.
Falcons WRs Julio Jones (thigh) and Roddy White (knee) took limited practice reps again Thursday. The Falcons are just being careful with their starting receivers.
Redskins WR Pierre Garcon (foot) took limited practice reps again Thursday. The Redskins seem to be more hopeful than optimistic that Garcon will be able play in a great matchup against the Bengals. At least this gametime decision is early in the day.
Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (hip) returned to limited practice reps Thursday after missing Wednesday practice. Maclin is still iffy to play in Week 3. If he boards a flight to Arizona on Friday, we would feel better about his chances of playing.
Eagles WR DeSean Jackson (hamstring) took full practice reps Thursday after being limited Wednesday.
Patriots WR Brandon Lloyd (thigh) took limited practice reps again Thursday. We will continue to monitor his progress throughout the week, of those no reason to believe he won't play in Week 3.
Saints WR Devery Henderson (concussion) took full practice reps again Thursday. The Saints have sorely missed the deep threat that he brings. Look for Drew Brees to take a shot or two deep to Henderson.
Colts WR Austin Collie (head) took full practice reps again Thursday. This could put a dent in Donnie Avery's upside.
Saints WR Marques Colston (foot) took limited practice reps again Thursday. Colston doesn't look like himself, per interim head coach Aaron Kromer. He has seven catches for 120 yards on the season, but will potentially draw CB Brandon Flowers this week.
Packers WR Randall Cobb (hamstring) took limited practice reps Thursday. He is expected to play against the Seahawks.
Chiefs WR Dexter McCluster (shoulder) took limited practice reps again Thursday. McCluster is a PPR sleeper against the Saints if you can get healthy.
Eagles WR Jason Avant (wrist) took full practice reps again Thursday. Avant could see a few extra targets if Jeremy Maclin is out.
Steelers WR Emmanuel Sanders (knee) returned to full practice reps Thursday after missing Wednesday.
Chargers TE Antonio Gates (ribs) took limited practice reps Wednesday. Gates was “moving fast” during practice, per HC Norv Turner. He is definitely trending the right way to play in Week 3.
Cardinals TE Todd Heap (knee) did not practice Wednesday but was limited on Thursday. With Heap iffy, Rob Housler may be in for a larger role after playing 29 total snaps in the first two games. He could eclipse that mark by halftime in Week 3.
Jets TE Dustin Keller (hamstring) returned to limited practice reps Thursday after missing Wednesday practice. It looks like Keller is inching closer to returning. He is not a fantasy option right now at a very deep position.
Steelers TE Heath Miller (abdomen) missed practice again Thursday. Miller is actually dealing with a rib cartilage injury, so he may not be his normal self if the guts it out against the Raiders in Week 3.
Lions TE Tony Scheffler (calf) missed practice again Thursday. If Scheffler is sidelined, look for Brandon Pettigrew to get a few extra targets over the middle.
