Steven Jackson benched after unsportsmanlike conduct penalty

Rams RB Steven Jackson was benched after drawing an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the middle of the 2nd quarter. He was flagged for spiking the ball after a run that was ruled short of the goal line.

Update: Jason La Canfora tweeted, "Steven Jackson had a hamstring issue, I'm told, which played a role in him sitting out much of the game. Wasn't just a benching."

Fantasy Impact:

Rookie Daryl Richardson took over, rushing 15 times for 83 yards while adding two catches for 19 yards, but lost two fumbles. Expect S-Jax to return to his normal role after taking his medicine this week. If he is injured, Richardson would be a nice pickup. He's clearly ahead of Isaiah Pead at this point.
