Bengals starting QB Carson Palmer (ankle) will miss his second straight preseason game Thursday night against the St. Louis Rams, a source tells the AFC North blog.
The source also added that the team may also take extreme caution with Palmer's sprained ankle and is contemplating sitting him for the remainder of the preseason. Much of it will depend on how the ankle responds leading up to next week's exhibition game Sept. 3 against the Colts.
Palmer has missed a lot of practice time since suffering the injury Aug. 14 against the Saints. The QB did some light throwing in practice this week but didn't participate in team drills.
