Shanny Expects Moss To Be Cleared - [Full Article]

Redskins WR Santana Moss is one of three current or former NFL players who spoke with investigators who eventually charged Galea with drug smuggling, conspiracy, lying to federal agents, unlawful distribution of HGH and bringing an unapproved drug into interstate commerce. He is also not licensed to work in the United States.

Moss met with Redskins coach Mike Shanahan before practice, and Shanahan said the team doesn’t expect a suspension. If the league discovers Moss is guilty of taking HGH, he could be banned for as many as four games.

“I talked to Santana and went through a bunch of situations that have happened to him,” he said. “I feel very good about where he’s at. I feel very good that he will be [cleared] when people find out the facts and everything will be OK.”

Fantasy Impact:

With the addition of Donovan McNabb, Moss could be in for a career year. However, he must clear his name if innocent. Although Shanahan is taking the high road of backing his players, he's also the type of coach who wouldn't drag the team's name through the mud.
