Seahawks watch Tatupu and Kerney leave with shoulder, groin injuries

Seahawks linebacker Lofa Tatupu left Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals in the first half with a shoulder injury.

Minutes later, defensive end Patrick Kerney re-injured his groin.

Tatupu, a three-time Pro Bowler, appeared to get hurt while tackling Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald late in the second quarter. Tatupu walked off holding his left chest area and with his left arm appearing limp.

Two team doctors and three trainers attended to him briefly on the bench. A doctor pressed on Tatupu's shoulder, and the linebacker reacted with a painful jerk.

A physician then escorted Tatupu into the locker room. The team announced his return was questionable. David Hawthorne was continuing to replace him in the third quarter.

That was when Seattle announced Kerney was out with a groin injury. The two-time Pro Bowler left the Seahawks' loss at Indianapolis on Oct. 4 with a strained groin, then missed last week's win over Jacksonville. He had two sacks of Kurt Warner and forced a fumble Sunday before he got hurt again. He watched the second half from the sideline.

Chargers to sign RB J.K. Dobbins on one-year deal

Former Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins is planning to sign with the #Chargers on a one-year deal. Electric when healthy, Dobbins — who averages 5.8 yards per carry in his career — reunites with OC Greg Roman and can hit the market again in March.

Fantasy Impact:

Dobbins has had poor injury luck in his career, but has only managed 234 total rushes since being drafted in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. This is a low-risk, high-reward move by the Chargers and might give them a runway to wait a little longer in the '24 Draft before they address the position.

Cowboys sign RB Royce Freeman

The Cowboys have signed running back Royce Freeman to a one-year deal. Freeman had 319 yards on 77 carries with 2 touchdowns last year for the Los Angeles Rams. He was 3rd round pick of Denver in '18.

Fantasy Impact:

Freeman hasn't rushed for 500 yards since 2018, his rookie season. This shouldn't have any impact on the team drafting at the position and/or bringing back Ezekiel Elliott.
