Schaub: MRI today, doesn't expect to miss time

Houston Chronicle - [Full Article]

When Matt Schaub was sacked on the Texans' first play and left Sunday's game with a dislocated left shoulder, no one expected him to return.

This was the first time Schaub started a 12th game in his three-year Texans career. And it was the same shoulder that required surgery in 2007.

Not only did Schaub return and replace Rex Grossman, but he took the Texans from a 17-0 deficit in the second quarter to a 23-18 loss in which they had more than enough chances to defeat Jacksonville and avoid a four-game losing streak.
“Same arm, same injury,” Schaub said. “Dislocated in the same spot. I don't think it's quite as severe as the one that happened two years ago.

“I came in, had some X-rays, and they reset it. I went back out there to play.”

Schaub never thought about not returning to the game.
“Absolutely not,” he said. “They were giving me all the scenarios, and I was like, ‘Who cares? Just put that brace on, and let's go.'”

Schaub will undergo an MRI today. He doesn't expect the injury to cost him any playing time.
