Running back Beanie Wells was still limited with his hamstring injury, but he expects to play Sunday against the Giants. Whisenhunt said if Wells doesn’t have any setbacks this week, “hopefully he’ll be OK for the game.”
“It’s one of those things where you are worried that when he opens it up it may pull and you can feel that little twinge,” Whisenhunt said. “Sometimes you can push through that, sometimes you have to be careful with that. It’s a balancing act.
“He’s in a good place right now. We could certainly use him.”
Fellow running back LaRod Stephens-Howling, who hurt his hand in the opener, was limited himself and Whisenhunt is hoping Stephens-Howling will also be available.
It doesn't sound like a sure thing that Wells will be a go, so his owners should be on their toes this week. The Cardinals don't play until 4:05 PM ET.
