The return of David Thomas allowed the Saints to use a variety of hybrid packages, shifting the versatile veteran between tight end and F-back throughout the game. Thomas' return meant backup fullback Korey Hall was inactive. The distribution of snaps at receiver and running back was about as democratic as its ever been. In fact, I can't remember the last time Devery Henderson and Robert Meachem had more snaps than Marques Colston. That's attributable largely to the reliance on the running game, where Henderson and Meachem are considered the best blockers in the group.

Here's the breakdown of the reps at each skill position: WR - Henderson 39; Meachem 38; Colston 37; Moore 25.TE - Graham 40; Gilmore 25; David Thomas 18. RB - Sproles 28; P.Thomas 21; Ivory 21. FB - Collins 23.

Notice that Pierre Thomas and Chris Ivory played the same number of snaps.

Fantasy Impact:

Fantasy owners should be aware that Ivory is eating into Thomas's playing time, so Thomas is not a no-brainer start with Mark Ingram sidelined.
