QB Michael Vick says his bruised ribs are feeling 80% healthy three days after being knocked out of the Eagles second preseason game vs. New England, and more than two weeks before the season opener.
In an interview with USA TODAY Sports, the quarterback acknowledged the concerns of Philadelphia fans, whom he promised this offseason he would do his best to avoid the injuries that have often prevented him from starting for the duration of a season.
"I'm trying to do the best I can. I can only do what I can do," he says. "I'm feeling better. Hanging in there. Trying to make it to September 9."
