QB Matt Leinart officially passed his physical on Tuesday and signed a one-year contract with a base salary of $630,000. Leinart becomes the No.3 QB as of this writing behind Matt Schaub and Dan Orlovsky.
Leinart's contract has a maximum value of $1 million. If he's part of the 45-man roster, meaning the backup quarterback and not the third quarterback designation, he can earn $23,125 per game or a maximum of $370,000.
If Leinart had remained in Arizona, his base salary this season would have been $2.48 million.
