Beanie Wells Fantasy News

On Tuesday morning, Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells tweeted he was set to go in for surgery. While most figured that it was likely to have some work done on his right knee that bothered him most of the regular season, he did not elaborate.
However, later in the day, azCardinals.com writer Darren Urban confirmed that Wells in fact had arthroscopic surgery on his knee by Dr. James Andrews in Florida. While no details were given beyond that, other than that there was no timetable set yet for him to resume football activities. Urban, though, was confident that Wells would not miss any offseason practice.

Beanie Wells said there's 90 percent chance he'll have surgery on right knee. Not sure of problem, probably a clean out.
This is speculation, but it sounds as if Wells was playing with a torn meniscus. Once scoped, recovery time is about a month.

RB Beanie Wells’ 15 carries apparently had to do with his sore knee.
“Beanie is a week-to-week thing,” Whiz said. “It’s a different struggle every week trying to get his knee ready and I have a lot of respect for Beanie and what he is doing. He’s not as elusive as he would be if he were 100 percent healthy and we understand that. There are times that doesn’t allow us to get into the runs as good as we would want to. We have to adjust."
