The Jets offense looks like one to stay away from this week and not having Holmes will certainly hurt any weeks he misses. Tight end Dustin Keller and starting receiver Stephen Hill, both of whom sat out Sunday's game with hamstring injuries, are still question marks this week. That would leave Chaz Schilens and Jeremy Kerley as the starting receivers, with Clyde Gates and Patrick Turner in reserve.

Don't be certain the fifth receiver is on the Dolphins roster. Not only is injured Patrick Turner uncertain about his status for camp, but a teammate said Turner previously hasn't shown the urgency or work ethic of the other receivers.

"We'll have to see - I'll be able to play at some point in the season,'' Turner said. Turner isn't permitted to disclose the injury.

Dolphins rookie WR Patrick Turner has some raw ability, and Sparano admits the coaches need to find some playing time for this former USC starter despite his erratic practices. But is this third-round pick, who is realistically fifth on the receiver depth chart, REALLY the answer?
Maybe it's time the coaches found out. He flashed with acrobatic catches during training camp, but disappeared once making route adjustments were required. But after 12 games into his rookie season (yes I'm counting the exhibition games) isn't it about time the Dolphins gave him a test drive?
"I do want to get Pat Turner involved," Sparano said. "I don’t want to have questions at the end of the year. I want to get him involved, he’s got to keep working in practice like he is, and at some point his number is going to get called.”

Dolphins rookie WR Patrick Turner heads into the final week of the pre-season looking to get into the mix, but the top four is pretty much set with Ted Ginn Jr., Greg Camarillo, Davone Bess and fellow rookie Brian Hartline, who has started the past two games and shown big-play ability.
