WR Denarius Moore signs with Bengals

Pro Football Talk - [Full Article]

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that WR Denarius Moore has signed a one-year deal with the Bengals. The deal comes after Moore visited with the Bengals late last week.

Moore caught 33 passes for 618 yards and five touchdowns while also running for one score that season and he followed that up with seven more touchdown catches the next year. He continued to play a prominent role in the offense in 2013, but drifted into an insignificant role with Oakland last season.

Fantasy Impact:

Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson was the head coach in Oakland when Moore was a rookie during the 2011 season. The problem for Moore's fantasy potential is he'll be behind A.J. Green, Mohamed Sanu, Marvin Jones and the recently re-signed Brandon Tate, at least heading into OTAs and camp.

Denarius Moore's season continued on its strange path when the Oakland Raiders wide receiver suffered knee and ankle injuries, though the team is not saying how.

Interim coach Tony Sparano listed Moore on the team's injury report Wednesday when the veteran receiver did not practice. Sparano did not go into details about Moore's injury, other than to say it did not happen at the Raiders' facilities.

"He suffered an injury away from the building," Sparano said.

Raiders WR Rod Streater (foot) out until Week 10, at least

Bill Williamson, Twitter - [Full Article]

Agent for Raiders WR Rod Streater said now that screws been put on foot he could be back in 5-6 weeks. He says the best case is Nov. 8 game.

Fantasy Impact:

So the best case is that Streater returns Week 10. It's a tough blow for one of our late-round favorites here at 4for4, but it opens up the door for another site favorite -- Andre Holmes -- who should see plenty of work with Streater sidelined and Denarius Moore seemingly on the outs. Holmes has produced when given starter's snaps and targets. The quarterback situation is a problem in Oakland, but the Raiders figure to trail a lot, so Holmes should see plenty of work.

Raiders WR Rod Streater (foot, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 4. Streater is expected to miss 4-5 weeks with a foot injury that will require minor surgery. James Jones continues to be the team’s de facto WR1, with Denarius Moore and Andre Holmes competing for snaps at the WR2 spot.

Raiders have 'confidence' in WR Andre Holmes

ESPN - [Full Article]

With Rod Streater out with a fractured foot, the next Oakland Raiders receiver in the rotation will probably be Andre Holmes.

Oakland coach Dennis Allen said the 6-foot-4 Holmes is an intriguing prospect. He had five catches for 45 yards against the Houston Texans and made a beautiful 29-yard catch at the New England Patriots after Streater was hurt.

The Raiders need more reliable receivers and perhaps Holmes will get his chance.

"We've got confidence that Andre, when we put him in the game, will go out and make some plays for us," Allen said. "He made a couple plays for us in the game the other day. He drew the pass interference penalty and had a big catch down in the boundary. Those are some of the things that Andre did for us last year and we feel like he can bring some of those things for us this year."

Fantasy Impact:

James Jones is locked in as a starter and Denarius Moore played more snaps in the last two weeks, with Streater limited. Holmes saw a significant amount of playing time, however, and Moore had a drop that led to the game-ending interception by the Patriots in Week 3. Holmes may get a chance to play ahead of Moore, but even if he's the WR3, he has a chance to emerge as the WR2. He performed well in starter’s snaps over the final six games of the 2013 season, averaging 4.0-66-.17 (WR3-type numbers) in that span.

Rod Streater believed to have fractured foot

Raiders coach Dennis Allen said WR Rod Streater appear to have fractured foot injuries. Would very likely end his season.

Fantasy Impact:

He was started off in the second quarter and was in street clothes and crutches on the sidelines after that according to reports. James Jones and Denarius Moore probably move up a spot on the depth chart with Andre Holmes possibly seeing more action.
