Titans WR Kendall Wright (hand, questionable) missed practice again Friday and is questionable for Week 14. Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean said he thinks Wright is a “no-go” for Sunday due to a splint on his right wrist. Wright said he “hopes” to go in Week 15, but will see how he feels on Sunday. If he’s out, downgrade Zach Mettenberger and upgrade Delanie Walker, Nate Washington and Derek Hagan. Dexter McCluster might be a sneaky PPR play as well, since he can do some of the same things as Wright.

Titans RB Dexter McCluster (knee) took limited practice reps again Friday. If McCluster can’t play, it opens the door for a big workload for Bishop Sankey, though the Titans also like to use Leon Washington in the passing down role.

Bishop Sankey led the way with 32 snaps among RBs but still isn't producing as owners hoped he would by this point. He had 17 carries for 58 yards and added three receptions. Shonn Greene played just four snaps, but it was Washington who ended up with the team's lone TD on a three-yard reception.

The Titans had 58 snaps in Week 6, and Sankey was in on 29 of them. He led all Tennessee backs. Dexter McCluster had 17 snaps and Leon Washington had 12. Sankey got 18 of the 22 carries by RBs in the game. The bad news is the team went to Jackie Battle on the goal line for a short TD. Sankey finished with 61 yards. We considered him a desperation play in Week 6 even in a good matchup.

Titans RB Shonn Greene (hamstring, doubtful) missed practice again Friday and is doubtful for Week 6. Greene apparently injured his hamstring on Wednesday, and is now doubtful for Week 6. This could be the opening that Bishop Sankey owners are waiting for. The team’s website expects the rookie to see the “majority of carries” in the Tennessee backfield, but HC Ken Whisenhunt will be sure to use Dexter McCluster more than necessary. We like Sankey as a RB2, but owners should proceed with some caution.
Titans beat writer Paul Kuharsky answered a question about the Titans RB situation:
This team with these running backs is looking to use all of them, not for someone to emerge as a starter. Who begins the game is irrelevant in their situation, and they are hardly alone in the NFL. I know it's inconvenient for fantasy purposes. But for football purposes, they are fine doing what they are doing.
We still think Bishop Sankey has a chance to emerge as more of a workhorse than Shonn Greene or Dexter McCluster. After all, teams with workhorses don't use three backs, so if Sankey can step up it should mean more work. He was drafted in the second round keep in mind. When this happens is another question and since this is coming from a beat writer and not the team, they really may be comfortable using multi-backs in their offense. Sankey is starting to hit more and more waiver wires but if you can afford to keep him around you may still benefit.

Titans RB Dexter McCluster (foot, probable) took full practice reps again Friday and is probable for Week 3. McCluster should be good for a few touches again this week, much to the chagrin of Bishop Sankey owners.

Titans RB Dexter McCluster (foot) took full practice reps Thursday after being limited Wednesday. Bishop Sankey owners are doing their best voodoo treatment on McCluster, but it looks like he’s on track to suit up against the Bengals.

Chiefs RB De'Anthony Thomas (hamstring, doubtful) missed practice again Friday and is doubtful for Week 1. Thomas is likely out for the game. They are expecting him to play the Dexter McCluster role in the offense, so we might see more Jamaal Charles in the passing game with Knile Davis picking up a few of Charles’s carries.
