Tamme played 12 of the 74 plays (16 percent) before leaving the game. He was replaced in the lineup by Levine Toilolo.
Falcons beat writer Vaughn McClure:
Something tells me Roddy White will be targeted more than once this week. Sure, Matt Ryan found himself a couple of nice new targets in Leonard Hankerson and Jacob Tamme, but the veteran White won’t be squeezed out of the equation. White might not be productive every week, but I expect him to bounce back in a big way after seeing his streak of consecutive games with a catch end at 128. White has 16 catches for 272 yards and a touchdown in three career matchups with the Cowboys, including two 100-yard receiving games.

Eagles TE Zach Ertz (groin) took limited practice reps again Friday. Ertz says he’ll be a game-time decision for Monday night. We would try to avoid using him this week, but some owners may not have that option. The Eagles play on Monday, so owners could look at Vernon Davis, Brent Celek or Jacob Tamme as potential wait-and-see options.

Eagles TE Zach Ertz (groin) took limited practice reps Thursday. Ertz remains “real limited” in practice, per HC Chip Kelly. We avoid starting him this week, but some owners may not have that option. The Eagles play on Monday night, so owners could look at Vernon Davis or Jacob Tamme as potential wait-and-see options.
Falcons TE Jacob Tamme, who spent his first seven NFL seasons primarily catching passes from Peyton Manning in Indianapolis and Denver, made an immediate impression with his pass-catching ability this offseason. He looks poised to come in and become a real threat in Kyle Shanahan's offense. It's hard to compare him to a guy such as future Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez, but Tamme can be the type of reliable pass-catcher the Falcons haven't had at the position since Gonzalez's retirement. The 6-foot-3-inch, 230-pound Tamme isn't going to overwhelm you with his size, but he finds a way to get open and is fluid with his routes.
Tamme is 30 years old and isn’t likely to be a fantasy factor in single-TE leagues, but he’s on the radar in two-TE or TE-premium (1.5 PPR) formats.
Owen Daniels and Virgil Green appear locked in on the top two spots, and depending on the frequency at which the Broncos use certain personnel groups, could both end up with play counts that reflect being starters. It was appropriate that their contracts were finalized within 24 hours of each other in free agency, because the two are best viewed as a collective as the Broncos work to build a deep tight end complement after Julius Thomas left for the Jaguars and Jacob Tamme joined the Falcons in free agency.
If both Daniels and Green play starter's snaps, then it's not going to leave much playing time for Cody Latimer as the team's WR3. Marlon Brown (40%) and Kamar Aiken (26%) didn't play enough to be fantasy relevant under Kubiak last year. However, things could change if Latimer makes a leap in training camp.

Tamme could be stream-worthy in the Falcons' potent offense but he hasn't been very trustworthy throughout his career.
The Falcons started the day by signing former Colt and Bronco Jacob Tamme, but they weren’t done adding players to compete with Levine Toilolo for playing time. The team announced that they have also signed former Chief, Bill and Seahawk Tony Moeaki on Thursday afternoon.
Moeki has talent but hasn't been able to stay out of the training room. The Falcons are looking to shore up the TE position and today's signings of Tamme and Moeaki give them a couple of veterans to lean on.
Tamme could be a stopgap option if the Falcons draft a tight end and wait for him to develop.
