The Baltimore Ravens made a couple of important moves Saturday, ones that started Ed Reed’s 2010 season and perhaps ended Jared Gaither’s career with the team.
Reed was activated off the physically-unable-to-perform list after the Pro Bowl safety proved he recovered from offseason hip surgery this week. To make room for Reed, the Ravens placed Gaither on injured reserve, which finishes off a difficult year for the offensive tackle.

The Ravens who are probable: wide receiver Demetrius Williams (knee), linebacker Jarret Johnson (knee), center Matt Birk (neck), wide receiver Justin Harper (foot), tight end Todd Heap (chest), defensive tackle Haloti Ngata ( ankle), tight end L.j. Smith (ankle) and wide receiver Kelley Washington (ankle).
The only Ravens who didn't practice were Reed, Gaither and Gooden.
