Joel Dreessen Fantasy News
Sunday, May 13, 2012, 6:54pm
Broncos OC Mike McCoy says TEs will be first and second reads in progression at times this year.
That's good news for TEs Jacob Tamme and Joel Dreessen, and perhaps Julius Thomas. Tamme figures to catch a lot of passes from QB Peyton Manning and has a built-in rapport due to their days together in Indianapolis. In the last 11 games they played together, Tamme posted 72-677-4, which projects to 104-738-6 over a full season. He looks like a great mid-round pick, especially in PPR formats.

Broncos sign TE Jacob Tamme to three-year deal
Friday, March 23, 2012, 8:57pm
The Broncos went a long way in shoring up weapons for Peyton Manning on Friday, signing former Colts tight end Jacob Tamme as well as former Texans tight end Joel Dreessen.
Tamme signed a three-year, $9 million deal on Friday afternoon, becoming the first former (and only?) Colts player to join Manning on the Broncos. Despite a belief that Peyton would bring along an entourage at his next stop, that has yet to be the case.
In 2010, with Dallas Clark sidelined, Tamme caught 72 passes for 677 yards and 4 TDs in 11 games (including the playoffs), which prorates to 105-985-6 over the course of a full 16-game season. Is he going to catch 100+ passes? Probably not, but those numbers demonstrate the kind of potential that he has with Peyton Manning throwing him the ball. Dreessen will pilfer some targets, but Tamme should be the TE1 to start the season.

Tight end Joel Dreessen said this morning that he’s decided to sign with the Denver Broncos. The Texans made a strong push to re-sign Dreessen on Thursday night, but he told both teams he would sleep on it and make a decision Friday morning.
If the Broncos don't sign another TE, Joel Dreessen could easily be a top 5-10 #fantasyfootball TE. I expect them still to sign Clark or Tamme. In Houston, Owen Daniels gains value with FB James Casey and Garrett Graham behind him on the TE depth chart.
Owen Daniels broke a bone in his hand
Monday, January 9, 2012, 6:51pm
Texans tight end Owen Daniels, who was already bothered by a knee injury, reportedly broke a bone in his hand Saturday and is listed as questionable. Because the injury wasn't a compound fracture, Daniels isn't being ruled out for the Ravens game.
At this point, Daniels is expected to play. Joel Dreessen would start at TE if Owen Daniels can't go.
