K Randy Bullock signed to active roster from practice squad.

Bullock will replace Ryan Santoso who was released earlier today and kicked in Week 1.

Via Ben Baby of ESPN.com, Bengals coach Zac Taylor said they’re sticking with Randy Bullock.

“Randy’s our kicker,” Taylor said.

Bullock missed a 31-yard field goal which could have tied the game at the end of regulation, and came up with some degree of calf injury. He was listed as limited Monday, but they seem confident he’ll be ready for Thursday’s game against the Browns. They claimed Siebert earlier, but that’s apparently just an insurance policy, the story said.

The Browns cut kicker Austin Seibert on Monday and they may be playing against him on Thursday night.

NFL Media reports that the Bengals are claiming Seibert off of waivers. The Bengals have the top waiver position in the league through the fourth week of the regular season.

The Bengals saw their chances of tying the Chargers at the end of regulation in Sunday’s loss go up in smoke when Bullock missed a 31-yard field goal. Bullock hurt his calf in the process and was listed as a limited practice participant on Monday’s injury report.

Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green caught an 11-yard pass from Andy Dalton to move the team into field goal range at the end of last Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers, so the team didn’t have to push for more yards before Randy Bullock put the game-winner through the uprights.

If there had been more football to play, it’s unclear whether Green would have been able to take part as he hurt his toe while making the catch. Green said he was OK after the game, but multiple reporters shared that he was in a protective boot at the team’s facility Tuesday.

The story went on to say, with a bye week in Week 9, the Bengals may just be taking every precaution in order to ensure Green is ready to go when they return to action against the Saints on November 11. The team won’t have to release an injury report until after next Wednesday’s practice, so it may be some time before there’s official word about the severity of the injury.

On his fifth team, kicker Randy Bullock finally seems to have found a home.

The Bengals signed Bullock to a two-year extension through the 2020 season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
