Kenny Stills is the Saints WR3 until further notice. Right now, the rookie from Oklahoma would get the first call in nickel packages. Veteran Steve Breaston likely will press him for the spot once he's acclimated to the offense, but Stills has a significant lead at this point.
Stills has sub-4.4 speed, so it makes sense that he would fill the Devery Henderson/Joe Morgan deep threat role with Morgan sidelined.

Saints WR Joe Morgan clearly had the inside track on the New Orleans Saints' No. 3 receiver job this summer. But his knee injury in Saturday's scrimmage came at an awfully tough time. And suddenly his role could be threatened by a veteran contender in newly-signed veteran Steve Breaston.
Morgan earned his way into a more prominent role last year, through both his big-play ability and his improved blocking skills. The Saints liked him enough that they let Devery Henderson go this summer, and they didn't sign any other veterans in free agency.
The team is still quiet about the injury so it's possible he could be back and Breaston is just insurance. The story says the Saints are still high enough on Morgan to save a spot for him on the 53-man roster - or even stash him on injured reserve, if needed. With not enough balls to go around for the various weapons, whomever gets the WR3 job likely isn't a trustworthy fantasy starter in most standard leagues anyway.

Former Arizona Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Steve Breaston is considering undergoing the Regenokine treatment in Germany in an effort to repair knee inflammation and early arthritic symptoms, according to sources.
It is the same treatment that players such as Kobe Bryant and Alex Rodriguez underwent to help save their careers.

Chiefs WR Jonathan Baldwin (hamstring) missed practice Thursday after taking limited reps Wednesday. Baldwin is looking very iffy for Sunday. Dexter McCluster and/or Steve Breaston figure to pick up extra snaps if Baldwin can't play.

Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe (groin, questionable) took limited practice reps again Friday and is questionable for Week 4. After the midweek downgrade, it's good to see that he was able to practice again on Friday after being limited on Thursday. The Chiefs play in early round of games on Sunday, so we should know early on whether or not he'll be able to play. If he can't go, Jonathan Baldwin and Steve Breaston would get a bump.

WR Steve Breaston may have to take the lead this year for the Chiefs. WR Dwayne Bowe, as the franchise player, is unsigned and not with the Chiefs as they go through their offseason conditioning program.
Bowe has plenty of time to sign a contract and rejoin the Chiefs, but until he does, there’s a chance he won’t play next season. If he doesn’t, Breaston becomes the No. 1 wide receiver.
The Chiefs hope Jonathan Baldwin can eventually become a go-to receiver, but his development was slowed last year when he missed the entire preseason and the first five games because of a broken thumb.
