LaVon Brazill suspended for one year
Thursday, July 3, 2014, 7:12pm

NFL.com - [Full Article]

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver LaVon Brazill has been suspended for at least one year without pay for violating the NFL's Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse, reports NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.

After failing multiple drug tests, Brazill was tagged with a four-game ban to start the 2013 season. He acknowledged last summer that it was time to choose between "money or marijuana."

Fantasy Impact:

The suspension helps to clear up the Colts' WR battle for roster spots. Griff Whalen's chances of making the team look much better with Brazill out of the picture.

Colts want to get T.Y. Hilton going
Thursday, December 12, 2013, 10:28am

Indy Star - [Full Article]

Da'Rick Rogers and LaVon Brazill combined for nine catches for 160 yards and four TDs against the Bengals.

Finally, help for Colts T.Y. Hilton, whose game-breaking skills have been neutralized the past month by defenses committed to not allowing him to do what he does best.

"Certainly the game that two of our young guys had — the numbers that they had and the production that they had — hopefully we continue that trend and it'll take some of that coverage ... away from T.Y.," coach Chuck Pagano said.

"We got to get him going again."

Fantasy Impact:

The last time Hilton faced the Texans, he racked up seven catches for 121 yards and three TDs, but he has been in a slump of late, failing to crack 50 yards in four straight games, culminating in a two-catch, seven-yard effort against the Bengals in Week 14. It's good to hear his head coach say they have to get him going, but Hilton is difficult to trust at this point.

Colts wide receiver LaVon Brazill was lost to a back contusion in the fourth quarter.

Fantasy Impact:

Colts HC Chuck Pagano said Brazill is expected to be fine and looks to be ok for Week 13. Brazill had three catches for 35 yards as the Colts WR3 last week.

Darrius Heyward-Bey may be sliding down the depth chart

Colts WRs LaVon Brazill (31) and Griff Whalen (26) played more snaps than Darrius Heyward-Bey (23) last night.

Fantasy Impact:

Heyward-Bey had a bad drop in the second quarter and the team appeared to favor Brazill in the second half. Brazill didn't catch a pass, but there's some potential in the Colts' offense if he gets starter's snaps.
