The Redskins have released wide receiver Donte' Stallworth to make room on the roster for new addition David Anderson, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.
Stallworth had appeared in only four games for the Redskins this season and recorded just five catches for 46 yards.
Andre Johnson could be out 3 weeks

First, the good news: Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson didn't blow out his knee, which is exactly what appeared to happen when he went down in a heap, untouched, during the second quarter of the Pittsburgh-Houston game Sunday. Instead, Johnson was diagnosed with a hamstring injury.
On Monday, head coach Gary Kubiak admitted that the team didn't know how long Johnson would be out. A day later, a report said Johnson's "definitely gonna miss the Raiders game and probably two or three weeks after that. ... Probably three weeks."
If Clayton's right -- and at this point it's just a report -- that would mean that, in addition to the Week 5 matchup with the Raiders, Johnson would also miss the Ravens in Week 6 and the Titans in Week 7 (which must be a huge weight off Cortland Finnegan's mind).
A day ago, Kubiak couldn't specify just how long Johnson would be out.
"It's hard for me to give you an answer right now," Kubiak said Monday. "He's going to miss some time. I don't know if that's three or four days. I don't know if that's a few weeks.
"We're dealing with a hamstring — we know that. We're still in an evaluation process. We're going to get a couple different opinions over the course of the next two days. Once we get a better evaluation and see how he progresses over the next two days, I can probably answer your question better."
If Johnson can't go, WRs Jacoby Jones, Kevin Walter, Bryant Johnson and David Anderson would all move up the depth chart. We're not excited about playing any of them, but Jacoby Jones has the most upside.

The Denver Broncos have signed wide receiver David Anderson, who had been released by the Houston Texans.
Elway's tweet stated it was "a great addition for us." Anderson is a good guy to have in the locker room because of his comedic abilities and solid work ethic, but it's hard to see him making a major impact in Denver.

With their agents were unable to find teams willing to make trades, Houston Texans defensive tackle Amobi Okoye and wide receiver David Anderson have been placed on waivers.

The Texans will play their last three games without defensive end Mario Williams, guard Mike Brisiel and receiver David Anderson, all of whom were placed on injured reserve on Wednesday.
Williams, who led the team with 8 1
2 sacks, 19 hits on the quarterback and 10 tackles for loss, had been playing with a sports hernia. He’ll be replaced by Mark Anderson and Tim Jamison.

ALERT: no suspension for Andre Johnson
Monday, November 29, 2010, 3:50pm
Texans Pro Bowl wide receiver Andre Johnson will not be suspended for his part in Sunday’s fight with Tennessee Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan, a Houston television station reported Monday.
However, Johnson will be fined by the NFL, according to FOX 26 in Houston.

Had Johnson been suspended for Thursday’s game against the host Philadelphia Eagles, the Texans would have been forced to push up the role of fourth-year wide receiver Jacoby Jones , who dropped to No. 4 on the depth chart. The Titans' No. 3 receiver, David Anderson, did not play against Tennessee because of a hamstring injury.
Johnson is good to plug in your lineup this week, as he is every week. He could see a lot of Asante Samuel this Thursday night, on the NFL Network ironically. Samuel may not even be 100% after missing Sunday's game against the Bears.
