The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have agreed to terms with wide receiver Harry Douglas and quarterback Chris Redman.
Douglas will slot in as the Falcons 3rd WR behind Roddy White and Julio Jones. In 2011, Douglas caught 39 passes for 498 yards and a touchdown on 62 targets.

QB Chris Redman is expected to make his third consecutive start for the Falcons because of Matt Ryan's turf toe. For an old insurance man who was out of football for almost three seasons, Redman has impressed off the bench with at least nine plays of 18 yards or more in his last start. Granted, he looks to TE Tony Gonzalez a lot, but there's nothing wrong with that.
Falcons hurting...

The Falcons need QB Chris Redman, who pulled out the win last Sunday against the Bucs, to do it again. It doesn't look good for Atlanta's Matt Ryan, who could miss the rest of the season with a turf-toe injury. The Falcons will also be minus RB Michael Turner and possibly WR Michael Jenkins. The good news is WR Brian Finneran returns.
Redman to lead playoff march with Ryan out

With their playoff hopes teetering in the balance, the Falcons will have to march onward without their starting quarterback.
Matt Ryan, who guided the Falcons to a wildcard playoff berth last season as a rookie, will not play against Philadelphia on Sunday at the Georgia Dome. A time for his return is uncertain.
Ryan left last Sunday's game against Tampa Bay after one series with a turf toe injury. Unable to return, Ryan was replaced by Chris Redman, who tossed a game-winning touchdown pass with 23 seconds left to lift the team to a 20-17 victory.
Falcons coach Mike Smith offered few specifics on the injury Monday, saying, "During the week he's going to work with our medical staff diligently to get back as quick as he can."
Depending on the severity of Ryan's injury, he could miss several more games. He received a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test on his right foot on Monday and went to see a foot specialist in Charlotte. He was back in Atlanta by the afternoon.
"We will have an update next week," Smith said.
Injuries to Falcons' Turner, Ryan could complicate things
Monday, November 30, 2009, 3:13pm
The Falcons might find out what life is like without two offensive stars quarterback Matt Ryan and running back Michael Turner.
Both were injured Sunday vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Turner aggravated his sprained right ankle, an injury that first occurred Nov. 15 at the Carolina Panthers. Jerious Norwood also returned from an injury, totaling 50 yards on six rushes and two receptions. He and Jason Snelling will probably share the load as Turner's return for the fantasy playoffs is in doubt.
The passing offense was struggling as Ryan threw seven touchdown passes and eight interceptions while the Falcons lost four of five. Backup Chris Redman led a last-minute touchdown drive for a 20-17 victory. But despite Redman's 243 passing yards and two TDs, the offense did not move very smoothly. At a minimum, receiver Roddy White is likely to have fewer big-play opportunities.
