The Texans didn't need the two-week roster exemption for cornerback Dunta Robinson.
Because Robinson will play and start against the New York Jets at noon Sunday at Reliant Stadium, running back Andre Hall was placed on waivers to make room for Robinson on the roster.

Denver Post: Broncos RB Peyton Hillis became the 14th RB, and arguably the
most unlikely, to have a 100-yard rushing game since HC Shanahan took
charge of the Broncos in 1995. Considered a fullback with the potential to
convert to an H-back/tight end role when he was drafted from Arkansas,
Hillis became the Broncos' TB by injury default. Michael Pittman, Andre Hall and Ryan Torain suffered season-ending injuries, and a 4th back,
season-opening starter Selvin Young, essentially has missed seven games
with a groin injury. At first, Hillis was considered a stopgap option, but
he has become so much more. "He hits it hard. He hits the holes. He breaks
a lot of tackles," Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler said. "It's going to be
interesting to see what happens, because I don't think he's going to give
that position up (easily)." Even with the team signing tailback Tatum Bell
and Young almost healthy enough to return, Hillis is expected to remain the
Broncos' primary TB. "There are a lot of great running backs behind me or
laid up a little bit, so it may turn out that I don't stay in this
position," Hillis said. "That's why it's so important that I step up and do
the job once I got the opportunity."

ESPN: Rookie Peyton Hillis has a torn right hamstring and is done
for the season, becoming the fifth Denver Broncos tailback to go
on injured reserve. HC Shanahan said Hillis will need eight weeks
to recover and might need surgery. Hillis was hurt Sunday after an
acrobatic catch against the Chiefs when he was bent over with his
right leg planted and his knee locked on the tackle. Hillis joined
tailbacks Andre Hall, Michael Pittman, Anthony Alridge and Ryan Torain on IR. Plus, Selvin Young, the starter when the season
began, has carried just once in the last two months because of a
torn groin.

Denver Post: All four of the Broncos's running backs —
Michael Pittman, Selvin Young, Ryan Torain and Andre Hall —
are listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Miami.
All-Pro CB Champ Bailey and WR Brandon Marshall are also
battling injuries.

NFL: For the fourth time this season, Denver is expected to place
a RB on injured reserve. This time, rookie RB Ryan Torain has been
lost with what is thought to be a torn ACL. Torain will undergo
more testing this weekend but the prognosis is not good. The RB
who was being asked to replace Michael Pittman and Andre Hall -
who went on injured reserve last week - probably now will join
them and Anthony Aldridge, who went on IR after the preseason. He
hurt his left knee during the second quarter of Thursday night's
dramatic come-from-behind victory over Cleveland. The shame of it
for Denver is that Torain was effective in the first half. He had
12 rushes for 68 yards (5.7 avg., 19-yard long), with one
touchdown before leaving the game.

Denver Post: Broncos RB Michael Pittman was momentarily dazed with
a neck injury and was replaced by Andre Hall. On his first carry,
Hall fumbled it away. Next drive: Pittman was again running hard
until he momentarily needed a breather. Hall got a second chance.
He fumbled again. Hall never got a chance to carry the ball from
the tailback position again.

Denver Post: Denver's other3 active RBs are suffering from some
sort of injury, whether it is Michael Pittman's bruised ribs that
will likely have him questionable for the Miami game or Selvin Young's sore groin that has kept him out of the past two games or
Andre Hall's sprained wrist suffered earlier this month. Now about
three months removed from the elbow injury and subsequent surgery,
Torain is the healthiest back Denver has. "It looks like that a
little bit," Torain said. "Everybody's got nicks and bruises that
we fight through."
