Pittsburgh Steelers running back LeVeon Bell has undergone surgery on his right knee and tweeted Saturday that he's doing well.

The Steelers lost Bell for the season after his knee bent backward during a sideline tackle in Pittsburgh's game against the Bengals on Nov. 1. Bell tore his medial collateral ligament and is believed to have posterior cruciate ligament damage as well.

Bell's anterior cruciate ligament is intact, which will help him make a recovery for the 2016 season, his last before he enters free agency.
