Oakland TE Kevin Boss week to week with knee injury

Oakland Raiders tight end Kevin Boss took a helmet to the knee at the end of a reception against the 49ers on Saturday night, and he wound up with an injury that is going to keep him out for an undetermined length of time.

Raiders head coach Hue Jackson said Boss is "week to week."

Jackson said the same thing about wide receiver Chaz Schilens when Schilens suffered a leg injury against the Arizona Cardinals in the first week of the preseason.

Schilens hasn’t practiced with the team ever since. Jackson said Boss’ timetable is comparable to that of Schilens.

Fantasy Impact:

This increases the fear factor with Boss, who can be a decent TE2. He'll need to show he'll be able to play early in the season to warrant roster consideration from fantasy owners in deeper leagues.
