Mike Goodson’s absence should create a bigger role for Jets RB Chris Ivory, who had just four carries Sunday. Ivory, who came to the Jets in a trade from New Orleans, said he is not frustrated by his limited role, but hopes the Jets will run more. Ivory has 115 yards on 34 carries this year.
The plan all along for Ivory was for him to get a lot of work, but he couldn't stay on the field in camp and once the season started, and lost the job to Bilal Powell, who has played pretty well at times. With Goodson now done for the year, Ivory has a chance to play a much bigger role. Given the team traded for him, they likely still want him to be more involved. He may be worth stashing on your roster to see how this plays out over the next couple of weeks.
