New Patriots special teams coach Scott O'Brien hinted that Laurence Maroney is an option to replace Ellis Hobbs as the primary kickoff returner.
As a rookie in 2006, Maroney averaged an impressive 28.0 yards per return on 28 kicks. While it would add to Maroney's value in return yardage leagues, it may also signal that the Pats are not counting on him as the primary running back this season.
