The mantle of being a star wide receiver is a heavy one, something that Texans standout DeAndre Hopkins is adjusting to over the last three games.

Held to three catches for 52 yards on six targets during a 27-6 loss Sunday night to the New England Patriots where he frequently faced double-team coverage, Hopkins’ productivity has dipped with defenses paying special attention to him. He’s averaged 4.3 catches and 58.6 yards during the past three weeks, catching 13 passes for 176 yards and one touchdown in that span.

Although Hopkins has caught 89 passes for 1,221 yards and 10 touchdowns, the momentum he had built, including a five-catch, 118-yard and two-touchdown performance against the New York Jets and veteran cornerback Darrelle Revis, has been halted since that breakout game.
