If the Panthers are interested in bringing in a veteran returner to replace rookie Philly Brown, it won't be Trindon Holliday.

The Panthers are not interested in the former LSU football and track star, according to a league source. Holliday joined the Giants during the offseason but was placed on IR with a hamstring injury in August.

The Panthers have indicated they will stick with Brown. The undrafted free agent from Ohio State is responsible for two touchdowns as a punt returner -- one for Pittsburgh and one for his own team when he alertly picked up a loose ball against Chicago and jetted 79 yards for the game's first score.

Brown is a smart player with a high ceiling and plenty of confidence. And while he's managed to make even a couple of fair catches interesting, Panthers coach Ron Rivera said Monday his biggest issue was getting Brown some help with better blocking.
