Giants hoping that RB Rashad Jennings will return in Week 9

The Giants will try to get their running game back on track Sunday in Dallas without Rashad Jennings.

The Giants starting running back will miss his second consecutive game because of a sprained MCL in his left knee. He suffered the injury two weeks ago against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Giants have a bye week after the Cowboys game. The hope is that Jennings returns the following week when they face the Indianapolis Colts on Monday night.

"I hope so," coach Tom Coughlin said. "I can't tell you that for sure but we hope."

Fantasy Impact:

Andre Williams carried the ball 16 times in a blowout loss to the Eagles in Week 6, so we're expecting at least that many touches against the Cowboys this week. There has been no indication that Jennings' job is in danger -- Williams is probably the better runner, but he simply isn't the weapon in the passing game that Jennings is.
