Giants HC Tom Coughlin said that rookie Odell Beckham Jr., who played for the first time all year on Sunday, came out of the game fine, with no recurring issues in the hamstring that limited him for most of the summer and early season.
"He seemed to be fine today, there wasn't an issue," Coughlin said. "We will push him along even further now."
Beckham made an obvious impact on offense, catching the game-winning TD from Manning, but he fielded a late-game punt as well, and he could eventually see more time in that role. Coughlin called Beckham's punt return cameo a "check-with-me kind of thing," the story added. Beckham makes for a good add if you need help at the position. It's a great matchup this week against the Eagles, but may be another case of wait-and-see before putting him in your lineup, especially in typical 10-team leagues. He seems on his way to making an impact in this offense but did miss a lot of time between offseason and so far early in the season.
