Former Washington Redskins and San Francisco 49ers defensive end/linebacker Andre Carter has announced on his Twitter page that he'll be playing for the New England Patriots.
Carter, like Albert Haynesworth, wasn't wild about Washington's switch to the 3-4 defense last season. Naturally, Carter handled the situation with far more grace and class. He's the second defensive end New England signed today, joining Shaun Ellis. We say defensive end because it appears as though New England will be using the 4-3 more in 2011. Carter has put up some decent sack numbers in the past and could offer some low-end IDP value.
