Doug Martin eyeing Week 10 return

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network has reported that the Buccaneers are optimistic at getting RB Doug Martin (torn labrum) back this season. Martin will spend the next 18 days strengthening his shoulder and will wear a harness, with the target date for return Nov. 11 on MNF.

Fantasy Impact:

Mike James will hold down the fort for at least the next two weeks. We recommended that owners hold onto Martin until the season-ending reports were confirmed by the team or Martin himself, and it now appears that he will return this season. Keep in mind that the Buccaneers are 0-6; their playoff chances are slim to none, so it doesn't make much sense to risk a long term injury to their star RB to win a few meaningless games. Still, he deserves a roster spot in case he can return to game action. His schedule looks pretty favorable down the stretch.
