Dennis Dixon to have MRI on knee

The Steelers lost quarterback Dennis Dixon on Sunday to a left knee injury. It was the same knee he injured during a Heisman run three years ago at Oregon.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Dixon will have an MRI once the team returns to Pittsburgh. We're told that the team believes Dixon could have played again if necessary; Dixon was held out as a precaution. And, by the way, Byron Leftwich currently isn't on the roster.

UPDATE: Here's coach Mike Tomlin talking about the 19-11 win, and the Dixon injury. Tomlin says, "I don't know who's gonna play quarterback next week. It won't be me."
