Cowboys expect Felix Jones to play

The Cowboys still are hopeful Felix Jones will play Saturday despite the running back missing another day of practice because of tightness in his hamstring.

Jones worked on the side with associate athletic trainer Britt Brown as the team began Thursday's practice. He was running and cutting, seemingly without problems.

Owner Jerry Jones expects Jones to be ready to go against the Eagles."He's going to be involved in all team stuff," the owner said Thursday. "He should be able to get anything he needs to get about the game plan, about what we're trying to do. We'll just let this thing get measured."

Fantasy Impact:

We're not so sure we believe the Cowboys when they say that the outcome of the Giants/Jets game will have no impact on Jones's workload against the Eagles. If the Giants win, the Cowboys' game against the Eagles will be meaningless. Dallas may still try to win the game, but it's not pragmatic to put Jones at risk when they would be facing a must-win game against the Giants the following week. Sammy Morris would get the lion's share of the touches if Jones misses time.
