Colts could be concerned about QB Peyton Manning

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay says the Colts are evaluating the quarterback spot, and that Peyton Manning is healing but they have to be prepared for the possibility of being without him early in the season.

If that's the case, according to Irsay, the defense has to pick it up.

Anytime the owner of the team says what he says, it's cause for concern. It's hard to imagine Manning missing games, as he's one of the NFL's most durable players, but the Colts might be slow out of the gate this year as Manning's absence and the lockout could throw their timing off.
