Jets RB Chris Ivory has been bothered by his hamstring, and was considered an injury-prone back before this latest ailment.
“I probably won’t play this Friday, but definitely next week, Monday or Tuesday,” Ivory told the Daily News. “(By) Tuesday, I’ll definitely be full speed.”
“Yeah I’ll be back soon full time,” Ivory added. "I’m almost there.”
The Jets RB situation was supposed to be somewhat of a strength, but so far it's been more of a mess. Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said the lack of reps for some of the running backs, mostly Ivory, are becoming somewhat of a concern. Bilal Powell has been taking advantage of the situation thus far in camp for the Jets, but if Ivory can get back healthy he should still be given a shot to carry the load.
