Bush injury believed to be not all that serious

When Reggie Bush pulled up near the end of the second quarter after catching a 16-yard pass from Drew Brees, it appeared the running back had a serious injury.

Two days later, Saints Head Coach Sean Payton confirmed the injury, but spoke like he believed it wasn’t all that serious.

“Just a mild hamstring,” Payton said during his Monday news conference. “(He) felt it get tight. I expect him to work this week. It wasn’t anything real severe.”

Randall Gay, on the other hand, could be out longer.

When asked whether Gay sustained a concussion, Payton shook his head and said, “He got dinged. We took him out and kind of held off to see how he was responding.”
