Broncos WR Eddie Royal, who strained his groin, will miss at least two weeks. His injury might not be as serious as feared — he spent several minutes lying on the ground, needed help from two trainers to get off the field and left the stadium on crutches — but he could remain out until after the Broncos' bye week, returning Oct. 23 at Miami.
Backup Eric Decker at wide receiver performed admirably. Decker scored two touchdowns against Cincinnati. But coaches and players understand there is only so long they can survive with so many of their best players on the sidelines.
Decker is going to be a popular pickup in waiver wires this week after two pretty solid fantasy weeks. If he keeps this up, it looks like he's going to push Royal right out of his spot and perhaps take over as the Broncos WR2.
