Boldin has high ankle and MCL sprains - [Full Article]

The Cardinals tried to play it safe last week against the Packers and give as many starters as much rest as they could. At least that was the plan. Ironically, they have more significant players nursing injuries than at any other time this season.

Here's an update:

Receiver Anquan Boldin -- He told me he has a high left ankle sprain and a sprained left medial collateral ligament. He worked with a trainer during practice but it's questionable if he'll play Sunday against the Packers.

Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie -- He did some work on the side, too, but said his sore left knee is no better than it was Monday. Rodgers-Cromartie can run but backpedaling and moving laterally are problems.

Defensive end Calais Campbell -- He has a cast that runs from his fractured left thumb up to his lower forearm. He did a limited amount in practice and expects to play. It's going to be hard for him to grab a defensive lineman, however.

Guard Deuce Lutui -- He left practice early with back spasms. The Cardinals don't think it's a big deal and that he will play on Sunday.

Fullback Dan Kreider -- He practiced today after missing two games with a pinched nerve in his shoulder. That was causing weakness in his left arm. Kreider said he has improved and is optimistic about playing.

Free safety Antrel Rolle -- Missed practice because of a bruised thigh, which caused him to sit out last Sunday. He declined to say how he was feeling, saying only that he would be evaluated as the week progress.

Tight end Ben Patrick -- He practiced Wednesday after missing two games because of a concussion. The Cardinals practiced in pads and Patrick took a couple of shots to head and seemed fine, coach Ken Whisenhunt said.

Wide receiver Sean Morey -- He practiced Wednesday after missing two games due to concussion.
