Kicker: Mike Nugent took a slight lead over Dave Rayner after making a 54-yard field goal in Buffalo. It’s one of those hanging by a thread type leads though.
Fullback: Joe Tronzo has had a solid preseason but it is possible that they could use tight ends in the backfield.
Running backs: With Brian Leonard out for possibly the first couple weeks with a foot injury, Cedric Peerman and James Johnson are vying for the final spot. Peerman looks to have a slight edge.
Wide receiver: Four spots look like they are set which means Quan Cosby, Jerome Simpson, Matt Jones and Dez Briscoe are vying for two spots. There is still a chance though that they might keep only five.
Tight ends: If the Bengals don’t keep a fullback, they could keep four and have Dan Coates line up at fullback.
