Belichick: Moss was never a problem

Patriots coach Bill Belichick called an unscheduled press conference on Thursday to talk about the Randy Moss trade. That's right, Belichick voluntarily met with the media.

We figured, then, he had something definitive to say. And Belichick didn't disappoint, with one of the stranger press conferences we've ever seen.

Belichick spent the six minute session defending Moss and strongly dismissing reports about a problem with Moss on the plane home from Miami. (He didn't directly address Moss' reported halftime outburst.)

"Absolutely not true, a total fabrication," Belichick said. "I didn't talk to Randy on the plane. There's no incident. I've never had one with Randy. Not in four years." (Note: It's worth mentioning the report was that Belichick and Moss didn't speak.)
