Bears WR Brandon Marshall (ankle) says he'll 'be ready' to play in Week 2

Bears WR Brandon Marshall didn’t only lose a fumble in the loss, he also hurt his right ankle when he was bent backward after a 7-yard reception in the third quarter. That play was originally ruled an incompletion on the field. But after the Bears receiver pressed coach Marc Trestman to challenge the play, the review came back in the Bears favor.

Marshall returned to action after the injury but appeared to aggravate the ankle on a fourth-quarter incompletion thrown his way. But Tuesday, he vowed to be ready to start this Sunday night’s prime time showdown with the 49ers in San Francisco.

“I’ll be ready to play,” Marshall said. “I’ll be ready to play.”

Fantasy Impact:

Marshall has a tough matchup with the 49ers, but the team is already in desperation mode after a bad loss to the Bills at home in Week 1. The larger question is whether or not Alshon Jeffery will be ready to play. The team has downplayed his hamstring injury so far, but he was unable to return to the game against the Bills.
