David Wilson's emergence couldn’t have come at a better time for the Giants, because they might need him even more the next few weeks.
How much more depends on Ahmad Bradshaw’s left knee, which he injured in the first half of the Giants’ 52-27 win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
Bradshaw returned to the game, but Wilson took over as the feature back. And on Monday, Bradshaw was undergoing an MRI and other tests to determine if there was any significant damage.
“Anytime you’re talking about a knee and you’re going through a series of tests, you’re better off to wait and see what the results are,” Tom Coughlin said on Monday. “I wouldn’t speculate on anything right now.”
Wilson figures to have a role this week regardless of Bradshaw's status, but if the veteran is sidelined, Wilson will be a fringe RB1 play against the Falcons in Week 15.
