FanDuel Week 4 Cash Game Breakdown

Due to popular demand, this column will focus on the main slate (Sunday-only) from now on. With that being said, playing other slates, namely Thursday-Monday and Sunday-Monday, can prove valuable in two ways. The first is if you don't like any players in the Thursday or Monday games, you can fade the slate and still enter Sunday-only players, but gain exposure to opponents who may roster suboptimal lineups containing Thursday or Monday players. The second is you can use the other slates to roster a particular value play you like on Thursday or Monday that would then allow you to get to other plays that you otherwise would not have been able to roster playing Sunday-only. For more on this concept, check out TJ Hernandez's intro this week in his DraftKings cash game breakdown.

With bye weeks underway and an early-morning London game, the slate has 12 games in total, but only four teams opened with an implied total of 26 or higher (Chargers, Steelers, Redskins, Cardinals). With affordable options from the Chargers and Redskins at nearly every position, you should end up with enough salary to pay up for three high-end WRs if you so choose.

QB Kirk Cousins $7,600 vs. CLE

Cousins checks all the boxes as a home favorite with an implied total that opened at 26 against a Browns talent-starved defense that has allowed 294 passing yards and 2.3 passing TDs per game thus far. With the emergence of Jamison Crowder, Cousins has a plethora of weapons to attack Cleveland. Efficiency trumps volume at QB; Cousins is second in the NFL in passing yards per game (329.7) and one of nine QBs averaging at least 8.0 yards per attempt.
